WP People is a project that brings together faces, stories, places and leaders. The faces of clothing enthusiasts, friends, collectors, customers and colleagues who over the years have researched, collected, worn, worn out and mended the most iconic garments of the WP brands. Garments that are by definition out of fashion but continue to resist frenetic and fickle market trends by signalling a distinct style that unites many, many clothing enthusiasts in one big family.
Vieri Lungani (@vbl1981 and @osteriadelletrepanche) chef of the “Le tre panche” restaurant in the delightful Hermitage hotel in Florence has always nurtured a passion for the Filson brand – in fact he has collected quite a few of their iconic garments over the years.
Oil Tin Cruiser Vest and a rare 2006 Mackinaw Wool Cruiser Jacket are the two pieces he has decided to wear today. Vieri is a chef through and through, but his comfort zone is not only the kitchen, it’s also the natural world.
His job leaves him little free time, but one of his greatest passions is mushroom and truffle hunting, and this is why he has always loved Filson. Even when he’s at work this brand makes him feel at ease. It’s flexible, versatile clothing that adapts so well with his lifestyle that it has no season – it’s always as current and recognisable, they way he likes it. Just as he likes his recipes to be thought of and recognised, he also looks for the same features in the things he loves.
