Spiewak jacket with four hooks, firefighter origins used to quickly unhook when wearing gloves.The hook deck jackets were introduced in the later part of 1942 when the zip closure on the ‘jungle cloth jackets (blue winter type)’ proved difficult to open and close in gloves.
